Eyeballs pop
words dine like a wish,
shall I make it concrete
to feel the bones?
or push it out
to set it free?
Heartbeats sound on tom-tom rhymes,
branches of a bookstore,
Echo through the affordable hall,
Chicago, Austin, Princeton, Peking,
Tianjin, Wuhan, Xiangtan, or Washington D. C.,
where did words go?
I sense the aromas
of knowledge, so and so!

sometimes, no word is better than words.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed reading this. I love books and would love to visit every library, every bookstore in the world; even though I probably wouldn't understand a word, unless I was in Spain, Mexico, or Italy. Sometimes, all I need to do is touch a book cover, whether hardback or soft and I feel like I'll absorb the story; not only of the book itself, but of the person who wrote it. May your weekend be blessed!
